How to install

Measure the pipe's outside diameter first. On insulated pipe, measure over the insulation, since the marker goes on the jacket.

SpecMark™ HE (sizes AA–D)

Pre-coiled polyester that wraps completely around the pipe and secures to itself with the self-stick strip. No adhesive on the pipe.

  1. Check the arrow.Hold the marker so the printed arrows point with the flow and the legend reads right side up from where people will see it.
  2. Open the coil.Pull the edges apart just enough to fit over the pipe.
  3. Snap it on.Place it on the pipe and let go. It springs closed and grips on its own.
  4. Lock the overlap.Peel the liner off the self-stick strip and press the overlap down so the marker holds to itself.
  5. Slide it into place.Move it along the pipe to the spot you want.
Works on wet, oily, cold, dirty or rusty pipe and on insulation. Great for retrofits where you can't clean the pipe.

SpecMark™ HE E and F (strap-on)

For pipe 8" OD and up. These ship on a fiberglass carrier and hold on with the two black nylon cable ties supplied. They aren't 360°, so place them where they'll be seen.

  1. Pick the viewing side.Place the marker on the side of the pipe people see from the aisle or floor.
  2. Position the markerwith the arrow pointing with the flow.
  3. Strap it.Wrap a cable tie around the pipe over each end of the carrier, then pull it snug.
  4. Trim the tailsof the straps.

DESCRIPTIONS

SpecMark™ HE pipe markers are engineered for harsh environments. Each marker is a layer of .005” polyester, printed graphics and a protective .001” polyester top layer that locks in the graphics and protects them from the environment. Legends are completely custom, with the wording and colors of your choosing, for indoor or outdoor use.

Sizes AA-D are applied by wrapping completely around the pipe and securing the marker to itself with the self-stick strip (included). Sizes E and F are strap-on styles for pipes 8” to 10”+ that use ultra-tough fiberglass carriers with DuraMark™ HE polyester self-stick markers and arrows. Carriers install with two black nylon cable ties (supplied).
